§ 1 Name and seat

The club bears the name "SOS Children's Village Hermann Gmeiner Academy" and has its headquarters in Innsbruck

§ 2 purpose

The association is non-partisan, pursuing charitable purposes and is not aimed at making a profit. It promotes adult education or adult education or further education in the area of the SOS Children's Villages idea for their support and implementation as well as the processing and evaluation of the development of the SOS Children's Villages to disseminate and deepen the idea.
 

§ 3 Ideal means to achieve the purpose

For the ideal implementation of the purpose of the association, the association maintains the Hermann Gmeiner Academy, which serves as a spiritual center and meeting place for all employees and friends of the SOS Children's Villages Organization as well as for the promotion, ideal care, deepening and dissemination of the SOS Children's Village. In order to achieve this purpose, the association is responsible in particular for the following tasks:
 

I. Spiritual home and care of SOS Children's Villages mothers / fathers and other employees of the SOS Children's Villages Organization.
 

II. Organization of events, eg seminars, conferences, meetings, which are open to all employees for the various forms of education and training, friends of the SOS Children's Village as well as friendly organizations, providing necessary teaching and learning materials.
 

III. Professional public relations through documentation and publication.
 

a) The association documents the historical development of the SOS Children's Village. For this purpose, relevant image, sound and text documents are researched, re-worked, collected, archived, analyzed and made accessible to an interested children's village-internal as well as -external public.
 

b) Publication of - partly scientific - work with special regard to the work in the SOS Children's Villages facilities.
 

c) Presentation of the SOS Children's Village as a socio-pedagogical model of youth welfare.
 

d) Presentation of the SOS Children's Village as an international organization. Social awareness in the direction of peace and understanding.
 

e) Provision of a library and archive on child-related topics for all SOS Children's Village staff.

 

IV. Organization and implementation of Hermann Gmeiner days. These are exams, conferences or seminars for integrative development of the SOS Children's Village idea.
 

V. Honoring and awarding of awards in the SOS Children's Villages to persons who have rendered outstanding service to the SOS Children's Villages idea.
 

VI. Exchange of experience and cooperation with other organizations dealing with child and youth issues.

§ 3a Funding

The funds required to fulfill the purpose of the association are raised by:

I. Fees for services offered in the context of events

II. Benefits and voluntary contributions of third persons, of Member associations of the SOS Children's Villages Organization around the world and from the public sector

III. sponsorship revenue

IV. Income from the assets of the association
